Holiday in Turin

Museo Nazionale del Risorgimento Italiano
This weekend I decided to join in on one of the trips arranged by cuef. A bit embarrassing that I've known about the trip for three weeks but I didn't make the connection that
Turin (said with a french accent) is the same as Turin (english) and Torino (norwegian)… However, I didn't manage to sign up for the trip in advance so, got up at six o'clock on saturday and crossed my fingers, hoping there would be room in the bus. And there was! So we drove through the Alps, yeah.. through the Alps, through a tunnel, a very long tunnel and suddenly we were in Italy!

Graffiti on the bottom: Decouvré par...

One of the highlights of the trip was visiting the Egyptian museum, biggest collection outside of Egypt. This summer I watched a program on the discovery of the tomb of Kah and the what the archeologists have found out about the life of him and his family. Would have given you the link, but couldn't find it again. Anyway, the  objects found  are on display in the museum in Turin. It was super cool!

We also visited the cinema museum. We didn't take the elevator up to the tour to see the city, one hour of queueing felt like a bit too much. But the museum itself was really good! Here is a couple of photos :)

I've given up on improving the layout…. And I'm starting to understand why most blogs are block of texts with centred pictures in between.

Lunch with team Spain, pizza of course! On the right we've
got ourselves some italian ice-cream. It was amazing!

As usual I did a little hike on sunday. This time on the Vercors massif, one of the three that surrounds Grenoble. Nice views there as well:)

Above: Tour Sans-Venin, "tower without poison". Apparently it started out as  Tour Saint-Véran, but the name changed over the years.
Top left: view towards the Chartreuse massif.
Bottom left: Field of sunflowers that suddenly
appeared in the forrest.

That's all for today. I'll try and post a bit more often so the posts won't be that long.
