Weekend!

It's been a pretty quiet weekend, but I've had the chance to try my french on some frenchies! Turns out they speak on a constant fast forward and they use slang. Such as meuf for femme. Which complicates things a bit….

Real french people

Sunday is turning in to my "jour de balades" or hiking day :) This time with Pip from England.

clever water pump in Gières

I love these little water pumps! They are everywhere and so practical, they seem to show up whenever your water bottle start looking empty.

What's left of fort du Gières

You have to pass through quite a lot of forest to get to the nice views, but there's treasures to be found there as well.

Fort du Mûrier

In the village of Mûrier, which seems more like a huge picnic area than a village, they also have a fort. Unfortunately it's currently closed for restoration, but the gate was pretty cool too.

The view point

I've read that "back selfies" are the new big thing. (They're not really selfies, it's really difficult to take a selfie from behind.) So this is me contributing to the trend.
